AluQuébec collaborates with the industry, through working groups, in the establishment of structured projects catering to the needs of companies that make up the cluster.
AluQuébec’s actions ensue from the needs and challenges formulated based on the works of the different working groups. They consist of members from all spheres of the sector relevant to reaching the objectives of the working groups.
The Sustainable construction and buildings working group launched in fall 2017 and aims to optimize the use of aluminium and its complementarity with other materials in the building construction sector.
The Infrastructures and bridges working group aims to optimize the use of aluminium in infrastructures and engineering structures, notably bridges and footbridges.
The Transportation equipment working group aims to optimize the use of aluminium and its complementarity with other materials in the manufacturing of commercial transport vehicles.
The Valorization and recycling working group launched in 2020 and seeks to encourage reuse, recycling and any other action that aims to obtain, from the industrial scraps, reusable materials to better promote the lifecycle of aluminium.
