The Banc bridge is a pedestrian bridge located in the Jacques-Cartier Valley and belonging to the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (SÉPAQ). The name of the bridge (banc, or bench in English) stems from the previous footbridge on which there were wood benches to observe the scenery. The actual version of the Banc footbridge employs a structure composed of aluminium 6351-T6.
As requested by the SÉPAQ, the CeiAl modelled and analysed the structure to determine if it was safe enough for the personnel to cross it with their maintenance vehicles.
