Symposium Aluminium + Design: New outlooks on the matter
Québec’s aluminium industry benefits from a worldwide notoriety and deploys many efforts in research and innovation to ensure its growth and its continuity. Architecture and design schools at the Faculté de l’aménagement de l’Université de Montréal associated themselves with AluQuébec in 2019 to present a Symposium on aluminium to better transmit knowledge on the material.
This international scale creative manifestation aimed to assemble university, professional and manufacturing sectors around a vast reflection concerning new uses of aluminium.
Held on a seven months period, the symposium was divided in four components : international conferences, workshops on future uses of aluminium, specialized formations and as a big finale, an exposition of students’ works.
The participating students positively concluded their experience, confirming their “New outlooks on aluminium”.
