Ce webinaire présentera le processus de conception et la construction d'une membrane autoportante en tôle d'aluminium très mince, le pavillon A(fin)ne. Il s'agit d'un pavillon développé dans le studio de recherche ARC 6801 H de l'École d'architecture de l'Université de Montréal au printemps 2021 et assemblé en septembre 2021. Il représente une surface minimale construite à partir de bandes de 1 mm de tôle d'aluminium.

La nouveauté de l'approche est que A(fin)ne est une peau structurelle autoportante avec un renforcement structurel adaptatif dérivé de la forme architecturale, de la stratégie de fabrication et du processus d'assemblage.

Quelques chiffres. Le pavillon A(fin)ne comporte :

  • 202 bandes
  • 465 ailettes
  • environ 3200 boulons
  • une surface de 16,7 m²
  • une hauteur de 4,5m
