Le répertoire des passerelles en aluminium d’AluQuébec présente plusieurs exemples de treillis simplement appuyées. Cela dit, il est tout à fait possible d’envisager des systèmes structuraux plus complexes en aluminium. Dans ce webinaire, WSP explore un pont piétonnier signature où une structure triangulée de 80 m de long supportée par trois appuis se connecte à une structure à poutres courbes. Des outils pour les concepteurs développés dans le cadre du programme Alu-Compétences sont présentés.
À propos du conférencier
Benoit Cusson est concepteur en ouvrages d’art chez WSP. Il a participé à plusieurs projets de structures complexes impliquant des ponts mobiles, le Stade olympique de Montréal et divers ponts routiers et piétonniers en aluminium. Reconnu pour son pragmatisme, il a développé de nouvelles applications, détails de construction et contenus normatifs pour propulser l'utilisation de l'aluminium dans les ponts. Il est président du chapitre 13 (ponts mobiles) et vice-président du chapitre 17 (aluminium) de CSA S6 et membre de la norme CSA S7 sur les ponts piétonniers. Il co-préside également le chantier Infrastructures et Ouvrages d’art d’AluQuébec.
