During AluQuébec's Annual and Extraordinary General Meeting on May 25, the organization's General Regulations were ratified to notably review the composition of the Board of Directors (BoD). The AluQuébec board is now made up of ten directors elected at the general meeting, as well as three co-opted by the board, for a total of thirteen directors.
After a presentation of the profiles of potential candidates and on a recommendation from the governance committee and approval by the Board of Directors, AluQuébec welcomes three new co-opted directors, all graduates of the Certified Company Directors (ASC) training course:
These three designated directors, that is to say appointed by the Board of Directors, bring particular expertise to the board, and join the ten directors who were elected at the last general meeting:
Yves Tremblay, president of the board of directors of AluQuébec, says he is very happy to work as a team with these high-calibre administrators and also very proud to practically achieve parity (six women and seven men): « By the addition of these three new directors co-opted, not only does the Board find a balance between the representativeness of the industry, but also adds specific expertise to increase the agility of the Council. ».
