INTRODUCING ALUQUÉBEC: A NEW IDENTITY FOR THE QUÉBEC ALUMINIUM INDUSTRIAL CLUSTER

Montreal, October 23, 2014 – The Québec Aluminium Industrial Cluster unveiled its new identity today “AluQuébec” as well as a new internet portal which will promote the services of Quebec’s aluminium processing companies and equipment suppliers on a national and international stage.

A year after its official launch, the Cluster has a new name, logo, website and colours. AluQuébec is now the Cluster’s official name, referring to the provincial scope of the companies it comprises.

The logo was designed to reflect the word aluminium, the industry’s common denominator. It also refers to a part of the structure of the aluminium atom – the circles represent its three outermost electrons. As for the colours, the predominant blue symbolizes Quebec while the grey represents aluminium.

The website aluquebec.com is a portal that redirects visitors to the sites of its various components. The purpose of the site is to showcase services and promote all of the members of Quebec’s aluminium value chain on a single platform. Site visitors will get a comprehensive overview of the Cluster’s constituents – primary aluminium producers, processors, equipment suppliers, research, development and training centres, industry organizations, distributors, recyclers and technical authorities.
