AluQuébec announces organizational changes

Montreal, December 1st, 2014 – After having coordinated the participation of the key aluminium processing companies and equipment suppliers over the past two years in the launch of the Québec Aluminium Industrial Cluster, Luc Roby, Chief Executive Officer of AluQuébec, is leaving his position for personal reasons. The organization’s Executive Committee accepted his resignation at its most recent meeting.

The Board of Directors of AluQuébec congratulates Mr. Roby on the work accomplished during his mandate. “We recognize the important role Luc has played in optimizing relations between the customers and processors and enhancing the entire aluminium value chain. He has positioned the Cluster and contributed greatly to its launch as AluQuébec,” affirmed Jean Simon, Chair of the Board of AluQuébec

Recruitment and interim appointment

The human resources committee of the AluQuébec Executive Committee is heading the recruitment process to replace Mr. Roby. In the meantime, Michel Bazinet, Executive Director of AluQuébec, will act as interim president. All requests with regard to AluQuébec may be forwarded to him directly.
